It’s no final-cut pro. But for its price, it allows for an adequate ability of manipulating your videos. Certain aspects of the program could be made more intuitive and tailor-made for a mac user, like when you’re scrolling on the timeline and it zooms in and zooms out or goes a random direction, as opposed to simply scrolling left to right with ease. Also, the undo option should be able to do undo literally anything you do within the program, not just certain actions. I also found when cropping a video size, I pressed Undo and the image returned to its previous size, but the number values didn’t change. It’s also not clear how to add text to your videos. Certain aspects, bugs and general intuitiveness is what keeps this from being a 5 star app. But again for its price it gets the job done, and thank you to the developers.Edit: There are so many bugs, you guys have to go through and fix this thing. I bought it because it looked like the layout was about the same as the one I have used. Well it is and it isn’t. It took some head scratching and manual reading to find tools I desired. Once I found them I liked where they were placed and how they work better than any other editor I have used. Lots of tools I have yet to explore. I prefer to create my own stuff rather than to use templates and this I can easily do with the tools provided. It is precise - splits to the exact frame desired. It’s more stable than most other applications I’ve used. I expected it to crash on a 3 layer video I made full of extremely short clips, transparencies, repositioned clips, etc. No crash. I like the way one can select output for a specific use and that it give enough info to know if the codec selected is MPEG-4 or MP2 etc. It renders faster than my old application and the quality of output is great. I see it’s getting a lot of poor ratings and I can’t find a thing wrong with this little workhorse. Awful, but I paid so I’m gonna have to use it.
I first got the Lite version of the app because it looked promising, but after I was done making my ten minute movie, I downloaded it and it screwed uo the audio. It also only gave me five minuted of my movie. I get it; it’s the lite version. BUT THE APP NEVER GAVE ME A WARNING ABOUT IT. So, to not have wasted my time making the movie, I bought their $25 dollar pro version, and even that just led me to wasting my money. The app itself is extremely laggy. I made a twenty minute video recently, and it looked really good, but while I was working on it, it closed itself out. I expected a little tab to pop up saying it “unexpectedly closed and will be reopened,” because it’s closed out many times before. Never popped up, so I lost my days worth of work over this app.Also, I don’t know if it is just me, but everytime I try to save the draft, it saves the order and edits I made on the videos but never the actual videos or audio itself. What’s up with that???Well, I’m probably gonna have to start over now because I spent twenty-five dollars on this and it would be a waste if I didn’t use it. >:(But yeah, I would never recommend. A Remote Desktop Gateway (RD Gateway) lets you connect to a remote computer on a corporate network from anywhere on the Internet. You can create and manage your gateways in the preferences of the app or while setting up a new desktop connection.
To set up a new gateway in preferences:
*In the Connection Center, select Preferences > Gateways.
*Select the + button at the bottom of the table Enter the following information:
*Server name – The name of the computer you want to use as a gateway. This can be a Windows computer name, an Internet domain name, or an IP address. You can also add port information to the server name (for example: RDGateway:443 or 10.0.0.1:443).
*User name - The user name and password to be used for the Remote Desktop gateway you are connecting to. You can also select Use connection credentials to use the same user name and password as those used for the remote desktop connection.Manage your user accounts
When you connect to a desktop or remote resources, you can save the user accounts to select from again. You can manage your user accounts by using the Remote Desktop client.
To create a new user account:
*In the Connection Center, select Settings > Accounts.
*Select Add User Account.
*Enter the following information:
*User Name - The name of the user to save for use with a remote connection. You can enter the user name in any of the following formats: user_name, domainuser_name, or user_name@domain.com.
*Password - The password for the user you specified. Every user account that you want to save to use for remote connections needs to have a password associated with it.
*Friendly Name - If you are using the same user account with different passwords, set a friendly name to distinguish those user accounts.

Drive redirection is supported for remote resources, so that you can save files created with a remote application locally to your Mac. The redirected folder is always your home directory displayed as a network drive in the remote session.

Mac keyboard layouts differ from the Windows keyboard layouts.
*The Command key on the Mac keyboard equals the Windows key.
*To perform actions that use the Command button on the Mac, you will need to use the control button in Windows (for example Copy = Ctrl+C).
*The function keys can be activated in the session by pressing additionally the FN key (for example, FN+F1).
*The Alt key to the right of the space bar on the Mac keyboard equals the Alt Gr/right Alt key in Windows.
By default, the remote session will use the same keyboard locale as the OS you’re running the client on. (If your Mac is running an en-us OS, that will be used for the remote sessions as well.) A Remote Desktop Gateway (RD Gateway) lets you connect to a remote computer on a corporate network from anywhere on the Internet. You can create and manage your gateways in the preferences of the app or while setting up a new desktop connection.
To set up a new gateway in preferences:
*In the Connection Center, select Preferences > Gateways.
*Select the + button at the bottom of the table Enter the following information:
*Server name – The name of the computer you want to use as a gateway. This can be a Windows computer name, an Internet domain name, or an IP address. You can also add port information to the server name (for example: RDGateway:443 or 10.0.0.1:443).
*User name - The user name and password to be used for the Remote Desktop gateway you are connecting to. You can also select Use connection credentials to use the same user name and password as those used for the remote desktop connection.Manage your user accounts
When you connect to a desktop or remote resources, you can save the user accounts to select from again. You can manage your user accounts by using the Remote Desktop client.
To create a new user account:
*In the Connection Center, select Settings > Accounts.
*Select Add User Account.
*Enter the following information:
*User Name - The name of the user to save for use with a remote connection. You can enter the user name in any of the following formats: user_name, domainuser_name, or user_name@domain.com.
*Password - The password for the user you specified. Every user account that you want to save to use for remote connections needs to have a password associated with it.
*Friendly Name - If you are using the same user account with different passwords, set a friendly name to distinguish those user accounts.

Drive redirection is supported for remote resources, so that you can save files created with a remote application locally to your Mac. The redirected folder is always your home directory displayed as a network drive in the remote session.

Mac keyboard layouts differ from the Windows keyboard layouts.
*The Command key on the Mac keyboard equals the Windows key.

*The function keys can be activated in the session by pressing additionally the FN key (for example, FN+F1).
*The Alt key to the right of the space bar on the Mac keyboard equals the Alt Gr/right Alt key in Windows.
By default, the remote session will use the same keyboard locale as the OS you’re running the client on. (If your Mac is running an en-us OS, that will be used for the remote sessions as well.) If the OS keyboard locale is not used, check the keyboard setting on the remote PC and change it manually. Windows Server 2012 R2 introduced support for a new authentication method, Remote Desktop Gateway pluggable authentication and authorization, which provides more flexibility for custom authentication routines. You can now try this authentication model with the Mac client.

Hi All! I need help with activating my copy of Office 2011 on my iMac. I lost the DVD sleeve containing the product key, but have the box and the DVD itself.
Is there any way to extract the product key from the current working copy I have installed on my MacBook? I know that on Windows, theres a way to find the Product Key in the registry..but the .plist is encrypted on the Mac version and I can’t decypher it. Key Microsoft Office 2011 For Mac Osx

As yet (5th Aug 2015) there’s no official support from Apple for Windows 10 running through Boot Camp. So, when I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to 10, I was expecting there to be a couple of issues. One of these was a lack of Bluetooth. Also getting the fn key working.
But, it turns out to be easy to fix.Get the Driver
The driver for Windows 8.1 works with 10, so you just need to grab that.
Go to https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204048 and find your machine in the list. You want to look for the zip file download of the Boot Camp Assistant software.
For me, it was this one:
Download that file (it’s pretty big – 882Mb for my one) and unzip that once done.Install the Driver
Inside the unpacked folder, go into the BootCamp folder and then into the $WinPEDriver$ folder under that.
The driver needs to be installed via device manager so just confirm that the AppleBluetoothBroadcom64 folder is there for now.
In Windows, open up device manager (the easiest way to do this is just hit the Windows key and type ‘device manager’ – it’ll be the first result).
Expand other devices and you should see an unknown device.
Right click it and select Update driver software.
Chose the second option on the pop up to browse your computer for the driver software.
Browse to the $WinPEDriver$ from your downloads and select that. Make sure Include subfolders is checked and then click Next and Windows will install the Bluetooth driver for your Mac Book.USB port types and names

My biggest problem with the current UI is, it’s still using a hamburger menu. And the navigation is confusing with Android 10 full-screen gestures. Sometimes it registers back gestures, and sometimes it opens the hamburger menu, which is confusing and irritating.
Outlook calendar is integrated in the Outlook app. It’s not a separate app but works as an add-on. If you were a fan of Sunrise calendar, then you will surely appreciate Microsoft’s implementation. Unlike Google Calendar, it uses a pleasing blue header with days entries below.
Scroll up or down, and you will notice a beautiful animation on the calendar icon. Nice touch. As expected, Outlook supports dark mode in Android 10 and higher.Creating a New Event
Both the apps have covered the usual provisions to add a new event. With Outlook, you can create a new event and add details such as title, time, location, notes, and attach files. I like how Outlook has Skype integration. It makes the composing group video/voice calls seamless and easy.
With Google, the app will ask you to create event, reminder, or Goal (more on that later). Tap on the event, and the screen will offer to add title, timer location, notification timer, and event color. You can even add attachments from Google Drive and invite other members to the event.

Typically, one wouldn’t care much about widgets while comparing apps, but they do play a vital part with calendar apps.
With Google Calendar, you can either opt for the upcoming event widget or go with a monthly one. Sadly, there isn’t a shortcut to create an event from the home screen.
As for Outlook, you can add the usual 2x3 widget or a shortcut to open the app in the Calendar menu directly. If you quickly want to create a new event, then long-press on the app icon and add a new event with relevant details.Extra Features
Google Calendar’s Goal function is excellent. You can select which activity you want to perform daily and the duration. Quite simple to set up. It will even ask you when you usually perform such action. After setting up, the app will add it to your calendar based on your busy schedule.
As a bonus, you can sync that to Google Fit account too. Some of the examples are fitness-related activity, meditation, call friends and family, and more. It’s useful in building habits and following routines with more punctuality.
In Outlook, you can add Facebook events, Evernote reminders through the calendar apps in the settings menu. It’s useful for directly integrating your friend’s birthdays in the calendar.
Outlook also offers interesting calendars where one can add favorite TV shows, sports teams, or sports events schedule directly in the app. Although, none of them matter in 2020, right?
It supports most of the popular sports league, and in the example below, you can see the supported sports category in the Outlook calendar app.

This week Amazon released the Send To Kindle application for Mac users. It is a free application that lets you send documents from your computer to registered Kindle devices, supported Kindle apps and your Kindle Library.

Send to Kindle, once installed on your Mac, will allow you to drag and drop any compatible file type to your dock and it will then be sent directly to your Kindle device(s) of choice.
*Register your Kindle device or Kindle reading app with Amazon. Open the device and register.
*With the help of ’Send to Kindle for Mac’, you can share your documents from Mac directly with the following steps. Step 1: First of all, download the ’send to Kindle for Mac’ and install it. The application will appear on the Dock, or you can find by control-click on ’Finder’ or print dialog in any of your Mac.
*Documents can be archived in your Kindle Library (which was recently introduced on Kindle for iOS), and there is an option to convert PDFs to Kindle format. A Getting Started guide with a list of supported file formats is available on Amazon’s website. Download the “Send to Kindle” Mac app here.

Whilst this is a quick and easy way to automatically convert a webpage into a PDF file and send it to your Kindle/app, it may be worth considering the free Readability addon which I reviewed last year – it’s my personal favorite for converting webpages to a better reading view and it now offers Android and iOS apps too.
Tip: if a complex PDF file is difficult to read, consider converting it with the free K2pdfopt utility (Mac and Windows versions) – the simplest and best PDF converter I have found for both e-readers and smartphones.

That’s significant in a couple of ways.
Not only does it show that Amazon is continuing to work to give us more capabilities (at no additional cost), it also shows that they take the time to notify us…in a customer forum.
I often go back to that as a reason why I like Amazon…customer service.
I was recently made a “Kindle Forum Pro”, which gives me a badge in the forum. It’s based on forum member ratings, and I think they said they reassess it every quarter.
I don’t like the name of the title, actually, because a “pro” to me suggests that I’m getting paid for it.
I’ve also seen the sincerity of one of the Kindle Forum Pros called into question by other posters…the suggestion was actually made that the “pro” got the badge by toeing the company line! I’m surprised at how eager people are to put negative interpretations on things.
Okay, back to the announcement.

MAC D for Danger from The Matte Lip Collection of MAC Cosmetics is a dark berry lipstick with a matte finish. I really love the colour, I already own many red lipsticks in different shades but I didn’t own this colour in my collection yet. It’s the perfect fall and winter red, the berry undertone makes it look really chique.
The lipstick costs €19,50 and is available in MAC Cosmetics shops and counters. You can also order it online at www.maccosmetics.com
MAC Beet from MAC Cosmetics is the sugar to the coffee of D for Danger. It has the same dark berry colour. The lip pencil has a soft and smooth yet not brittle texture and spreads easily on the lips. It has overall a great pigmentation, one swip is just enough.
The lip pencil costs €15,50.
These are the swatches. It’s very pigmentated and beautifully matte.D for Danger and Beet are a match made in heaven! The colours are exactly the same.
I’m so happy with my gifts! I really like the formula of the lipstick and lip pencil. It’s matte which makes it lasts for a long time, it can last up to 5-6 hours depending on what you eat or drink.
